[The venue]

Just up the coast north of the historical town of Helsingør, the Danhostel looks across the Øresund towards Sweden only 5.5Km away - 3.3 miles in old money. A short walk along the coast will take you to Kronborg, the fictional location of Elsinore in Shakespeare's Hamlet, also nearby is the Danish Maritime Museum.

We have the entire hostel for the weekend (Friday and Saturday). If you wish to book additional nights before or after the weekend please contact the Hostel directly once you have a confirmed registration. Note we cannot guarantee that you will retain the same room as for the event if you take this option.

By train

If you can, buy your ticket in advance at DSB.DK. The webshite is search results are only available in Danish because why would Danish railways bother about the millions of tourists who come here every year? But thankfully Google translate does a pretty good job. You will need to search for "Højstrup St." as your destination, if your keyboard doesn't have an "ø" key, hold the Alt key down and type 0216.

Direct from the Airport

Take the Öresundtåg into the centre of town (København H) and change to the Öresundtåg to Helsingør. At Helsingør change to the 940R regional train. These run every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 9 minutes (2 intermediate stops).
When you get off the train at Højstrup Station, head down-hill towards the sea, the hostel is just across the road at the end of the track (350 m walking).

From Copenhagen

By Ferry from Helsingborg

Walk from the ferry straight into Helsingør station, buy a ticket for the regional train to Højstrup and take the 940R regional train. These run every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 9 minutes (2 intermediate stops).
When you get off the train at Højstrup Station, head down-hill towards the sea, the hostel is just across the road at the end of the track (350 m walking).
